Host a Food Drive for Neighbors in Need
Human Services - General Opportunities

Help stock the shelves at one of the County's food pantries. Collect non-expired food items and unopened hygiene products such as peanut butter, jelly, soup, canned fruit, canned meat (tuna or chicken), helper meals (tuna helper, chicken helper, & hamburger helper), pasta, pasta sauce, beans, rice, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, soap, baby wipes, and cleaning supplies.
Service hours awarded based on the quality of the food drive and number of items collected. Typically students who collect at least 50 full size items, will earn five service hours. Service hours are available for school, National Honor Socierty, and Scouts. Service hours are not awarded for court ordered community service.

Johnson County Human Services - Multi-Service Centers provide services to low income residents. We provide services such as utility assistance, food pantry, provide vouchers for the Kansas City Medicine Cabinet, and case management.

We operate three food pantries in Johnson County: North Central (Lenexa), North East (Mission), and Southwest (Gardner).

*Due to safety regulations, we are unable to accept expired food. Service hours will not be awarded to expired food items.

Donations can be dropped off (Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm) at our Olathe office located at 11811 S Sunset Drive SUITE 1300 Olathe, KS 66061. If service hours are needed, please contact Brandy Hodge - Brandy.Hodge@jocogov.org prior to organizing your food drive for additional infomration.
