Volunteers are needed to act as conversation practice partners for English Language Learners. The purpose is to help people whose first language is not English practice their conversation skills.

Conversation Practice runs concurrently with English Language Classes from 9:30 11:30 am on Saturdays, October 4th December 6th.

Fluency in English and comfort with coaching, encouraging, and engaging people with low English proficiency required. Volunteers must commit to a regular schedule with advanced notice of planned absences. Volunteers must complete an orientation and training program before classes begin.

Each volunteer will receive an Oxford Picture Dictionary and have access to conversation starters and other tools that support conversation.
