Friends Book Sales

The Friends of Johnson County Library host Book Sales in the The Book Nook! every Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are needed to help with counting books and greeting customers.

Interested in becoming a trained cashier? Here are the requirements:


  • Age 15+

  • Sign a confidentiality agreement

  • Attend a training on how to use Square, point of sale

  • Register for a cashier shift at least once a month, for a minimum of six months

  • Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to start the process to become a trained cashier volunteer.



This opportunity has multiple shifts

Floater - Outgoing volunteers are needed to ask customers if they need help in the aisles to move their books to the front counter, help the greeter manage crowds, serve as a back-up counter, & assist in restocking.
