Friends Pop-up Book Sale

The Friends of Johnson County Library host Book Sales in their Sorting Center every Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are needed to help with counting books and greeting customers.

Interested in becoming a trained cashier? Here are the requirements:


  • Age 15+

  • Sign a confidentiality agreement

  • Attend a training on how to use Square, point of sale

  • Register for a cashier shift at least once a month, for a minimum of six months

  • Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to start the process to become a trained cashier volunteer.



This opportunity has multiple shifts

Counter - Assist the cashiers by sorting books by price and writing the total number of each on a tally sheet
