Johnson County Library was started by a dedicated group of community members who ran libraries out of their homes, schools, and businesses. Today, Friends of Library is a membership organization that supports the library through volunteer and financial support.

The Revenue and Fiscal Oversight Committee is responsible for the oversight of the Friends fundraising strategies and campaigns. Friends are looking for volunteers with fundraising or grant writing experience, campaign participation, legal or finance expertise, or small business leadership to serve on this committee.
